This year’s edition included two professional teams, Christina Watches Onfone and Team OneCo Masterhus  which  competed in the Elite Pro category.  Cycling enthusiasts enjoyed the presence of renowned cyclists Michael Rasmussen and Stefan Schumacher during the four days of the Tour.

David first local in Sicily Wednesday, May 11 2011

David Galea illustrated his best in Sicily after finishing first local during Gran Fondo Villasmundese .  A good number of local cyclists participated in the grueling 115km race which included a 6 km climb after 80km.  Strong headwind made the race harder to the participants.  David crossed the line after  3 hours 15 mins and 41 sec beating second local Maurice Formosa by 6 minutes and third local Etienne Bonello by 8 minutes.  This was a second successive hit for David in Villasmundo.
